The story of Echoes Through Time begins in 1977 with a fourteen-year-old Ben at Madison Square Garden, swept into a world he hadn’t known music could create. As Pink Floyd played, the boundaries of the arena seemed to dissolve. Sound became a place to inhabit—vast, mysterious, sometimes unsettling, and achingly beautiful. That night changed the way he listened, felt, and imagined what music could be. Over the next five decades, dabbling in various musical projects, playing covers and originals, its pull never faded. Pink Floyd remained his musical home, and eventually the desire to share that experience became impossible to put off. With a now-or-never resolve, Ben gathered musicians who felt the same deep connection, and Echoes Through Time was born.

One particularly fortunate encounter brought saxophonist Jenny Hill into the fold. An accomplished artist whose credits include Gov’t Mule and the Easy Star All-Stars, Jenny already had her own history of exploring Floyd’s musical universe: she contributed to Dub Side of the Moon, the Easy Star All-Stars’ reggae and dub reimagining of The Dark Side of the Moon. Bringing that experience and her expressive playing to Dick Parry’s iconic saxophone parts, she helped the band’s vision reach further. That vision is at the heart of Echoes Through Time: to make each performance a journey through the tension, tenderness, and breathtaking expanses of Pink Floyd’s music. Somewhere in that journey lives the feeling that first caught hold of a fourteen-year-old at Madison Square Garden—and the possibility of someone in the audience discovering it anew.
